The AMD Ryzen 5 4600H is a higher-end laptop processor released in 2020. While not as fast as the eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H from the same Ryzen H series, the six-core Ryzen 5 4600H is a cost-effective processor for demanding tasks like gaming or video production. The Ryzen 5 4600H competes against Intel’s Core i5-10300H. These are all 45-Watt chips, as opposed to usual 15 Watts of the regular mainstream laptop processors, such as the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U. The greater wattage allows high processing load over longer periods of time in comparison to the 15W chips. That’s important for heavy gaming and other intensive tasks.
In gaming and other high-performance laptops, the Ryzen 5 4600H is usually combined with a dedicated video card for smooth game rendering. Therefore, the processor’s entry-level Radeon integrated graphics isn’t a problem.
