The AMD Ryzen 5 4500U is a laptop processor from the Ryzen U 4000 series released in 2020. It’s commonly used in mid-tier and upper-mid-tier laptops. The Ryzen 5 4500U is more than capable of completing the daily computing tasks. As a mid-tier member of the Ryzen 4000 U family, the six-core Ryzen 5 4500U sits between the slightly faster eight-core Ryzen 7 4700U and weaker quad-core 3 4300U. The 15-Watt 5 4500U directly competes against Intel’s 15-Watt 10th Core i5 U and G series series.
