Although with similar names, the AMD Ryzen 5 7520U and AMD Ryzen 5 7530U aren’t similar in terms of specs and performance. The 7520U is slower, which is not a surprise given it has four cores instead of six, a lower maximal clock speed of up to 4.3 instead of 4.5 GHz and less cache of ~ 6MB instead of ~ 19MB. On the positive side, the AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, like the similar Ryzen 3 7320U, is a budget-friendly chip, used in affordable lower-mid-range laptops.
They can easily handle the daily home and office tasks, while the 7530U and other more powerful chips have a noticeable advantage in heavier duties like multimedia creation.
When it comes to gaming, the Radeon 610M graphics processor integrated into the Ryzen 5 7520U offers a very basic graphics performance, so it can be used only for the lightest games.
