The AMD A8-6410 is a lower-mid range notebook processor, sitting in benchmark results right below the more popular Intel Core i3 U-series. The A8-6410 has four cores instead of two on the i3, but due to Intel’s better CPU architecture, there’s no significant advantage in comparison to their dual-core contenter.

On the positive side, AMD processors are traditionally cheaper than their Intel counterparts, and the A8-6410 is no exception. You can find it in notebooks for only about $350 and up. These laptops are completely suitable for the home and office tasks of the average user. In most real-world use scenarios, there’s no noticable performance difference between the A8 and i3.
Both chips consume 15 Watts of power.
The A8 processor has Radeon R5 integrated graphics, with similar performance to the Intel HD 4400 and 5500 found on the Intel Core series.
